Although it may possibly be able to be seen from space,
it’s not going to hurt a satellite. However, it's actually a good thing to warn against anyway...
Because it may be a plane instead of a satellite.
So it's better just not to point it at any moving object in the sky…
It’s a mathematical figure that it can be seen that distance. Based on the visibility of the wavelength, plus the output power, and beam divergence…

Jay is correct. The Krypton can be seen from space, but will not cause any damage to any satellites. However, this laser can cause great harm to a pilot if you ever point it at an airplane. Please be careful when using this laser.
I've been "lased" while flying before. A: It's not fun. B: I reported the location to KDAN UNICOM and on 121.5 in which the KDAN fire dept was listening... they made a phone call. C: I circled and watched as the blue flashing lights approached within 15-20 min. The green beam stopped at that point. Danville Va, winter 2006 around 8PM EST. You will get caught. That being said, I love lasers. I use my 75mW Phoenix to scare geese off the runway.
